Terms of use for the Light Industrial website

These terms cover your use of the website at lightindustrial.co.za. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What these terms cover

These terms apply to the public website only: the pages, the savings calculator, the forms and the demo booking link. They are the terms of a marketing site, and they are kept short on purpose.

The software subscription has its own agreement

Using Light Industrial as a customer, including Document Intake and Core ERP, is governed by a separate subscription agreement that you sign when you subscribe. That agreement, not this page, sets out service levels, data processing, payment and termination. Where the two differ, the subscription agreement wins for the software.

Accuracy of information on this site

We keep the site accurate and current, but we do not promise that every page is complete or free of errors at every moment. Features, integrations and prices change. The savings calculator gives an estimate based on the numbers you enter and our assumptions. It is not advice and not a quote.

Pricing on this site is indicative

Prices shown on the site are in South African rand and exclude VAT at the current rate. They are a guide to what the modules cost. The price you pay is the price in your written quote and subscription agreement, which takes account of your user count, document volume and any data migration. If a price on the site and a quote differ, the quote governs.

Demos and trials

A demo is a 30-minute online session where we show the software on paperwork like yours. It is free and carries no obligation.

A trial is a limited period of access we may offer after a demo. Trials are at our discretion, may be withdrawn at any time, and are not a promise of future service. Documents and data you give us for a demo or trial are handled as described on the data handling page. Trial access ends on the agreed date unless you subscribe.

Intellectual property

The site, its text, images, design, the savings calculator and the Light Industrial name and mark belong to Hybrida or its licensors. You may view and print pages for your own evaluation of the product. You may not copy, scrape, resell or republish the site or any part of it without our written permission. Supplier names or third-party product names on the site belong to their owners.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• submit false details in a form or booking,
• use the forms or calculator to send spam or to test our systems,
• probe, scan or attack the site, the Worker behind the forms, or any connected service,
• use automated tools to copy the site at scale, other than normal search engine indexing,
• use the site for anything unlawful.

We may block access to the site from any source we believe is breaching these terms.

Links to other websites

The site links to third-party sites and services, such as Calendly for bookings and the accounting packages we integrate with. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Limits on our liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent South African law allows, we exclude all warranties about the site and are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of it or your reliance on information on it, including indirect or consequential loss and loss of profit.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 if it applies to you.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute about them is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Western Cape, South Africa.

Section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 requires a website that offers goods or services to show the following.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means the new version applies.
